In My Own Time Zone.

Here I am again, early hours of the morning and drawing away and tinkering with projects. I seem to be at my most creative whilst the rest of Lincoln sleeps. I guess I just have my own little time zone. Either that or I’m beginning to develop insomnia.

Currently I’m working on a project where I am designing an exhibition for work by various artists which is inspired or influenced by mental illness, in particular bipolar. I read ‘Beyond Reason: Art and Psychosis Works From the Prinzhorn Collection’ a fascinating book which really inspired and helped to define this project. For the outcome I intend to design the identity for the show and promotional material then also produce several pieces for the exhibition. It’s an interesting subject which holds some personal meaning to me so I’m really getting into it. Should have visuals ready to post up soon so watch this space. Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog so that you can be the very first to see my latest design work.

About Emily-Dawn Honey

I am a Lincoln based Graphic Designer. Although I enjoy all aspects of design, it’s my illustrations which get the best response from viewers. To keep my creative skills honed I regularly exhibit in local galleries, this work is self initiated for my own personal fun. I also take freelance work where I can. I firmly believe that we are forever learning and constantly evolving so I turn my hand to as many new experiences as I possibly can. Currently I am looking for experience within industry to build on my knowledge, skills and portfolio. If you have any advice for me, comments, questions or are able to offer me some work experience (Well, if you don’t ask then you don’t get!) then please get in touch.
